jr. high Bridge

For students in 6th-8th grade in the 2025-2026 school year

Bridge is an immersive learning and service experience for current Jr. High students (6th-8th grades). More than just mission work, this is a 4 day experience with worship, activities, service, and fun to help students gain new perspective and skills as we learn and serve together. Students will come together with St. Peter's UMC, Holy Covenant UMC, and Katy First UMC and partner with them doing mission work in Galveston, TX. We will collaborate with the existing ministries of Galveston Central Church to support them and the work being done in the Galveston Island Community. This is a great opportunity to work with our neighbors and support our local churches and communities!

VBS is a week long program, for children from 3 years old through incoming 5th graders that is designed to give kids a time of fun while they learn about God.  Campers should register by the grade they will be going into in August 2026 or what age they will be on June 1, 2026.  If you have a student who requires accommodations please contact Becca Newcomb, Pastor of Family Ministries, to discuss further.  Our desire is to make this a great week for every camper and we are happy to work with families to make it a great experience!

Join us for Snowball Mountain Challenge!  We invite your kids to an exciting winter sports event where they become Challengers, gearing up for frosty games, snowy surprises, and hands-on lessons about resilience and faith. They will come to realize that with the strength God provides, they can share their gifts, be brave, give their all, pray, and hope. Your kids will be guided daily by the energetic Activities Director and the lovable Ollie the Arctic Seal puppet, who is reporting on the events. Challengers aren’t just playing games. Using their Challenge Companion (the Bible), they learn to draw strength from their faith through powerful stories, while connecting the learnings to Bible Stories and Lift Lessons (Key Learnings).  We can't wait to see how all our Challengers grow and rise to meet the challenge together!

UM Army

UM ARMY is a week long mission trip for our high school students and adults to go into a community and do hands on work.  This includes building wheelchair ramps, painting, making minor repairs, yard work, and more.  We also have a lot of fun together with various activities during the evenings throughout the week. Students gain confidence and independence as they learn new skills as well as  compassion through serving others. It is hard, hot work and it is always a meaningful experience for both students and adults.

This year we will be going to Athens, TX!
